Since March, restaurants in Lancaster, Pennsylvania have been restricted to offer only take-out. While many restaurants adapted to the changes and regulations that were placed on them, some did not. Several restaurants have already announced permanent closure due to loss of business from the Covid-19 pandemic. Fortunately, Lancaster transitioned to the yellow phase on June 5th. This phase allows restaurants to offer outdoor dining services, while maintaining social distance precautions. Several restaurants in Lancaster were already equipped with outdoor seating. However, many decided to get creative and expand their outdoor services. Below you will find a list of recommended restaurants currently offering outdoor seating or dining services in the City of Lancaster.
Please follow the restaurants on Instagram or Facebook to stay up to date on their latest hours and menus. Also, you can visit their websites to see any other information regarding Covid-related hours/restrictions.

Restaurant Reservations
It is strongly encouraged that a reservation is made to ensure no disappointment or disrupted plans. Many restaurants have made claims of accepting patrons on a reservation-only basis. Due to the limited outdoor seating and social distancing guidelines, many restaurants expect to fill up quickly, especially during peak hours. Please visit the website or social media channel of each business to see their current hours and policies.
Returning to Normalcy
As restaurants start to open back up, I hope you feel as if things are starting to go back to normal. While I agree with people who state that “normal” will never be what it was pre-coronavirus, I hope that we can all find comfort in the progress. The lengthy quarantine was different for everyone, but I know that we will come out of it stronger than ever. Feel free to reach out with any questions regarding my recommendations, visiting Lancaster, or anything that’s on your mind! Happy Saturday,
New restaurants will be added to the list daily. Restaurants are subject to change their hours at any time. These restaurants are personally approved by myself. Restaurants offering outdoor services that I have not personally experienced will not appear on this list. That means that there may be other restaurants open for outdoor dining.
