Guinness Steak Sliders with Brie, Caramelized Onions, and Mushrooms

These mini steak sandwiches are perfect for the Guinness lover!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 15 oz Guinness
  • 1 lb. sirloin strip steak
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbs garlic powder
  • 10 slider buns
  • 1 yellow onion julienne
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 tbs grapeseed oil
  • 1/4 c red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbs non-dairy butter Earth Balance
  • 4 oz brie
  • arugula

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Separate slider buns and place face down on a baking sheet
  3. While oven is preheating, place steak in a deep dish, coat with garlic powder and pepper, and pour in Guinness, reserving 3/4 (set aside)
  4. Cut onions and mushrooms
  5. When oven is preheated, bake rolls for 5 minutes, turning the pan halfway through cooking
  6. Heat frying pan on med-high heat for 2 minutes
  7. Add onions, Guinness, and red wine vinegar to heated pan
  8. Saute 6 minutes, stirring occasionally
  9. Add non-dairy butter and mushrooms to pan, saute another 4 minutes, stirring often
  10. When mushrooms are almost done, begin heating the method of cooking for the steak
  11. Cook steak according to desired taste*
  12. Slice desired pieces of brie and set aside
  13. Remove steak and carefully slice, placing brie on top asap
  14. On slider bun bottoms, stack arugula, steak (with melting cheese on it), onions/mushrooms, and then top with the second slider bun
  15. Enjoy!
